Hovena Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hovena iOS app. Hovena helps you practice daily declarations, keep a local archive, and stamp visual anchors. By tapping Let's Go or otherwise using Hovena, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Hovena lets you:
- Write or dictate a declaration and add one gratitude note.
- Stamp up to three acts a day: Morning, Noon, and Evening.
- Create a visual anchor in Dawn Window, Midday Desk, or Lamp & Stars style.
- Browse Archive and favorite pages on the Keepsakes.
- Read a page aloud or share a card with the iOS share sheet.
- Set in-app practice reminders (no system push notifications).
Hovena does not provide a public feed, chat, or social matching. You are responsible for the content you create and keep.
2. Eligibility
You must be allowed to use the App Store and this app under the laws that apply to you. Hovena is not directed to children.
3. Your content
You retain rights in the declarations, gratitude notes, and other materials you create. You confirm that you have the right to use that content in Hovena, including sharing a card if you choose.
Do not use Hovena for unlawful content. Nicknames and text may be filtered for inappropriate words. We may refuse or clear content that violates these Terms.
4. Visual anchors
When you stamp a declaration, Hovena may send the text only to draw your visual anchor. Temporary request data is deleted after the image is produced. The image is stored on your device. If drawing cannot finish, a local illustration is used.
5. Accounts
Signing in creates a guest session. You may log out at any time. Signing out pauses reminders and keeps your draft on the device. Delete Account permanently removes local practice data from this device after you type DELETE. It does not delete copies you already sent through Share.
6. Permissions
Dictation needs Microphone and Speech Recognition. You may refuse a permission; related features may be unavailable.
7. Acceptable use
- Use Hovena only for lawful, personal practice.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the app or its configuration service except as allowed by law.
- Do not use Hovena to harm others or to violate another person’s rights.
8. Third-party services
Hovena may use a configuration service to issue session settings. That service is governed by its own terms where applicable.
9. Availability
Hovena is provided as-is. Features and availability may change. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of writings that matter to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hovena and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, including practice pages stored in the app.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
